Q: Matt, can you tell us about these new features?
A: Before we dive into the NEW features... I want to share a little bit of background about how our software has evolved over the years. About 5 years ago, we came out with a review product helping doctors gain reviews, hence the name Review Wave, which turned out to be a poor naming choice considering how many other features we’ve added and will continue to add. But, it’s a great brand and I think people know we’re about a lot more than reviews now.
A common question I get asked is, how did we get to do more than reviews? We were so good at helping them get more reviews and our customer support was next level, because providing superior customer service is one of our core values, but clients kept asking us can you add texting because we don’t want to pay you and pay someone else for texting and you’re better. So we looked at all the different texting platforms out there and tried to figure out, how can we change the game? We didn’t want to do what anyone else was doing.
At this point most other companies were using random numbers, short codes, etc. So we were the first to come out with business texting in this field. It was really apparent from the get-go how much better the patient experience was because of business texting.
I think that’s one of the reasons we stand out from the other software companies is because we put the patient experience at our core. So everything we build is going to enhance the experience for the patients.
From there, we got feedback that new patients wanted an easy way to schedule appointments and clients started asking about online scheduling. And then existing patients wanted an easy way to reschedule appointments so we added a mobile app for existing patients.
Then came automated campaigns, AI answering services, online forms, webchats, etc. Everything to make it easier for patients to find you, book an appointment with you, and become an advocate for life for you. We bridged the gap between website visitor and advocate by creating the ultimate patient experience.
And what’s next? We have 5 brand new features based on new feedback from our clients. Designed to make attracting, converting and delighting patients even easier.
Q: What was the inspiration behind adding more features?
A: The inspiration behind everything we do has always been the patient experience. So to help more patients get the care they need we need to help doctors get from where they are to where they want to be. One of the comments we hear from many doctors we work with is that they just want more time with their patients. They want the business operations part to be easy. And that’s where we come in.
We make it easy for patients to connect with doctors and we make it easy for doctors to reach and help more patients.
We can use technology to streamline the whole journey. Something simple like offering online forms helps solve a common pain point for patients - having to fill out paperwork.

A: They are going to make your life so much easier, your team’s lives easier, your families' lives easier, and your patients’ lives so much easier. The technology and how user-friendly it is, helps you spend less time in the office after-hours or working on weekends trying to catch up, helps reduce staff stress and burnout, helps reduce no-shows and all these other things that used to keep you up at night.
So as we evolve, we’ll continue to add things like our drag and drop email editor and our interactive calendar where again you may have something that works...but it’s not wonderful. And, we’re going to make it wonderful and have it all in one place for you.
Q: So from here, where are we going next?

We’re excited to announce our BRAND NEW Smart Website! A sweet tool inside your Review Wave app where you can enter all your website and business info and then click create site, and then bam, you have a beautiful, branded website. It will add online scheduling, webchats, info for patients on how to download the scheduling, etc. It’s extremely easy to manage, optimized for SEO and conversion. Reduce the number of vendors you’re having to work with and have our team and our amazing support help you manage your website.
In addition to the Smart Website, we’ve got a VOIP integration! In partnership with Cytracom, we can connect with your EHR and see which patient is calling and you’ll be able to see on your screen when their next appointment is or when their last appointment was. And we’re going to be adding an area to enter call notes and you can see those on the screen as well.
